A workshop from June 2025

Workshops

All our workshops are designed for people of varying ability. We have ergonomic tools, all sessions are designed to be done sat at a table both indoors or outdoors and we only use non toxic plants. We limit the need for use of sharp cutting tools to reduce the risk of injury but this is risk assessed on a case by case basis depending on the stage of dementia and behavioural needs. All sessions are done under supervision.

With regular sessions we can explore the use of what is grown for maximum enjoyment. For example harvesting herbs to use in cooking, making Lavender bags to freshen draws and cutting flowers to enjoy in a vase.

Examples of some of the workshops we offer:

  • Spring bulb planting
  • Seed sowing
  • Window boxes/patio pots
  • Herb/kitchen windowsill gardens
  • Hanging baskets
  • Themed sessions - something a bit different for easter and christmas
  • Easy vegetable growing

Prices and example support plan

One off workshops can be booked for £15 per person (minimum booking 5 people). This includes the two hour workshop with Jack with all plants/materials and tools. Each person then gets to keep their plants/pots to enjoy and look after with an easy to follow care card.

Block bookings for workshops can be made with weekly, fortnightly or monthly visits to provide ongoing support for growing projects. Please enquire for prices - block booking discounts available!

1:1 visits start at £25 per hour and can be tailored to your needs/wishes. We do not provide a respite or sitting service while in your home so please make sure someone is with you at home to help with mobility or care needs during the visit. We encourage your family and carers to take part in the sessions.
